Silvercar LAX Review

I just rented a silver Audi A4 from Silvercar at Los Angeles international airport. It cost only $10.04 after the $50 coupon they were offering to new customers. Obviously for $10 it was an amazing deal, as rates are normally $59 on the weekday or $89 on weekends. $50 coupon code is FB-FTD.

Silvercar is also running a 25% off coupon & free awesome gift, such as a gift card, beats headphones, wine experience, or ipad mini. “Just use code GIFTSTHATDONTSUCK when you rent between now and 12/31 and you WILL get a gift upon pickup. We’ll send it straight to your door or inbox so no need to pack light!”

Reserving the car online was extremely easy, just went to the website and entered a couple of details and my reservation was confirmed. The day of the rental, Silverar texted to remind me of the reservation and how to pick up the car. At LAX the facility is offsite, so I had to take the airport “C” shuttle to the first stop after the airport and the Silvercar was waiting with my concierge, Jenny. It was an off airport cell phone waiting lot, a little quiet and deserted but easy enough to figure out.
The agent then put me in the car and drove me back to the facility on Bellanca, explained the car to me, scanned the QR code and I was on my way. the car itself was nice, a 2014 A4 with only 1,200 miles. It has satellite radio, Bluetooth, Naivigation, and sunroof. The whole system was a bit of a pain to use but I’m not here to review the car.

Returning the car was also easy, they texted me again to confirm the return and I dropped off the car on Bellanca. You don’t have to fill up the car, they charge $5 and $4 per gallon if it’s not full, but I just decided to fill it myself to save some dough.
The great part about the return is that they will drive you in the Audi straight to the terminal. No shuttle buses, which makes up for taking the shuttle when picking up the car,
Overall it was a great experience and nothing to complain about except the prices are a bit pricey without a discount and if you don’t like the A4, there are no other cars to choose from. Also the shuttling when picking up the car is a little inconvenient but made up when returning the car.

I’d suggest it if you’re looking for a luxury car or if you get a good discount. Service was friendly and straightforward, no shadyness at all with was the best part. Good job to Silvercar.
