The most obvious way is to take a taxi, but not even can or wants to pay for that. Public transportation generally runs only from 6am – 12am, but there are some nighttime services.
Train out of the question as services stop around 12 – 1am. The last airport express airport-bound is at 00:48 from Hong Kong Station.
Bus is probably the best bet since it runs overnight, albeit at reduced frequencies and routings. You can find a list of night bus routes here. They’re run by Citybus and Longwin.
Fares are actually very cheap for the overnight buses also, about $20-30 depending on where you’re starting, mainly because they’re considered locals and make more stops than the usual airport buses. But since there’s no traffic at night, the ride shouldn’t take particularly long.
