Who says there’s no such thing as a free lunch? We last featured the Singapore airport transit voucher scheme a couple of years ago. The current scheme ends this month (31st March) so it’s a quick reminder in case you have upcoming travel through Singapore planned. It’s a very pleasant bonus if you are transiting through the already excellent Changi airport.
The scheme is simple: transit through Singapore Changi airport as part of a return itinerary and you can receive a S$20 voucher (approximately HK$110) on one of your transits in Changi. You can spend on most shops in the airport (sadly not 7 11 though, or a few others), or for a two hour lounge access. It’s eligible for flights operated by Singapore Airlines, SilkAir and Air New Zealand, as well as Scoot flights TZ591 and TZ592. Full details are on the Singapore Airlines website here.
To collect your Voucher, visit the iShopChangi Collection Centre (near the GST Refund counter) in the transit area of Terminal 2 or 3 at any time. You need to show your passport, boarding pass and tickets/e-tickets showing your full itinerary.
The scheme ends at the end of March, though hopefully it will be extended or a new one will be launched afterwards.
