One of Tsim Tsa Tsui’s newest hotels is Soravit on Granville, opened in 2018. As suspected, it is located at 29 Granville Road in the heart of TST’s shopping and restaurant madness. Spent two nights there and wanted to share with you my lovely experience.

Soravit is a Thai company and they also launched Attitude on Granville not long ago as well, which is diagonally across the street. It is a limited service property, there is a restaurant on-site Chili Party, however it isn’t owned by Soravit. This is a trend of operating hotels without too much real estate and manpower required. Mostly rooms only, with front desk and housekeepers as your main staff to keep costs low.
Soravit has a modern Thai feel with comfortable and clean rooms, in a superb location for tourists. MTR is less than a 5 minute walk away, making all of Hong Kong accessible.
My friend and I stayed in a executive twin-bedded room on one of the lower floors. The room very generously sized for Hong Kong, as you can see the in the photos. To keep things interesting, there are a few different floor plan types on each floor, so your room may be a bit smaller or sized differently. The website shows rooms types of superior, deluxe, premier, and executive. As expected, sizes of the room increase as you go up the chain.
The lobby was warm and inviting above the ground level. Check-in was easy, and though my room wasn’t quite ready at noon, the front desk staff gladly held my belongings and I grabbed lunch and came back a few hours later.
As per the photo, staff while friendly were very camera shy, lol. They did have to tell a few mainland Chinese guests to wait in line, which is unfortunate as the guests would simply walk up to the desk despite there being a line. Job can’t be too easy dealing with that all day, saw that a few times.
There is a nice Apple computer workstation with two new computers and small sitting area. There are modern bathrooms on the lobby level and you’re welcome to make yourself a cup of coffee or tea. I liked the wide selection of teas, my favorite part of being in Asia.
A guest room key is required to get upstairs to the rooms. As mentioned, my room was large and had plenty of room to walk around, unpack luggage, etc. In fact, there was so much space that there was even a small pullout sofa bed available. Nice plus for groups or families looking to stay together.
Bathroom was very spacious again by HK standards and there was a huge walk-in shower, with great water pressure to boot. Small touches such a robes were appreciated.
This is a very straightforward hotel without all of the bells and whistles of a traditional full-service property. The great thing about that is you can save some dough as the rates are very competitive for such a new and clean property. Do you really need a bellman to bring your luggage upstairs, or a concierge to tell you where to go nowadays with Google and Openrice?
Don’t have any complaints or issue with my stay, which is very rare. Usually you will experience one or two negatives during any particular stay. The room was modern and clean, beds comfy, towels fluffy, WiFi worked, and housekeeping came and cleaned the room without much fuss. (Usually I leave a small tip too to encourage better cleaning, hah.)
Next time you’re coming to Hong Kong and looking to stay in Kowloon, Soravit on Granville is a great option with an affordable price. Definitely wouldn’t mind coming back in the future, or their sister property Attitude on Granville is also usually a little cheaper. That property has more of a local Hong Kong, hip vibe.
