Using the Macau E-Channel (Automated Passenger Clearance System)

If you want to pass through Macau immigration faster you can consider signing up for the e-channel, known as the Macau Automated Passenger Clearance System. The service is open to Hong Kong ID holders, select mainland passport holders with relevant permit and endorsement, Koreans and Australians. Generally holders aged below eleven are ineligible.

You can sign up at the Macau Ferry Terminal, or some locations in Macau such as the airport and Taipa ferry terminal. Signup can be done at an electronic terminal there and is a swift process.

The immigration queues in Macau are typically fast moving, so this scheme may be of interest mainly if you are a frequent visitor to Macau.

Details are available on the Macau immigration department website.
