First Cabin capsule hotel at Tokyo Haneda Airport
I had an overnight layover at Haneda airport, so I found First Cabin. This was a cool capsule hotel at Handea Airport Domestic Terminal 1. The hotel is really clean and provides capsule and small rooms for overnight stays. There’s a shared bathroom and communal lounge / eating area.
There are two types of rooms, and since I had a lot of luggage I stayed in one of the large first class cabin rooms, as opposed to the capsule business class rooms. Male and female are separated and I found the First Class rooms to be more than sufficient for an overnight stay. There was a full size bed and enough room on the side to place some luggage. There was also a TV and small table in the room. There is no door, only a screen which goes almost to the floor, leaving a few inches for airflow I can only assume?
The business class cabins where significantly smaller since there was not any space to walk around or keep your luggage. Most people just placed their bags and luggage under the screen hanging out of the capsule slightly. If you don’t have much luggage this is a viable option.
Towels, pajamas, and toiletries are provided which is a plus. There are some vending machines if you’re hungry or want a drink as well. The main terminal entrance is only open until midnight, so make sure you get there before then, otherwise you’ll have to go through a side door.
If you’re looking for a relatively cheap and clean place to stay at the airport, this is probably your best bet. Most other places are offsite.
