Air China and Xiamen Air have raised fuel surcharges this week according to SCMP. I expect that the other airlines will match the surcharges so they are the same across the board.
Fuel surcharges will be raised from 50 yuan to 70 yuan for flights shorter than 800 km, and 100 yuan to 130 yuan for those greater than 800 km.
On a percentage term I think the increases are significant, but I think these are minimal in absolute terms and really won’t affect bookings or your pocketbook. (If 30 yuan does affect your pocketbook, you might want to take the train, lol.)
As a side note, Cathay Pacific also raised their fuel surcharge this month.
