I’ve never been to Frequent Traveler University before, and am a bit excited to go. In case you aren’t aware, FTU is basically a travel hacking conference. According to the FTU website:
Frequent Traveler University is the world’s premier educational series of seminars devoted to teaching traveler’s the best way to maximize their frequent flyer miles, hotel points and credit card rewards, while learning about new destinations, tools, and loyalty program intricacies to help make their travels cheaper, more comfortable and in more luxury.
They rotate locations a couple of times a year and the upcoming one this week is in Chicago. It’s supposed to be the largest and I’ve signed up for the Signature program which includes all of the in-depth sessions being held by respected travel writers and experts.
I look forward to meeting follow travel nerds and sharing some of what I learn with the HKTravelBlog community. So look in the coming months for some more hacking related articles, though a lot of them are focused on US airlines and credit cards since this is held in the US.
If you happen to be going or are in Chicago, I’d love to meet up! Send me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. The conference is Nov 16-19th, 2017 at the Chicago Marriott O’hare.
My first travel hack, splitting my stay at different Marriott properties to take advantage of the Mega Bonus. Stay 2, Get 1 Free. I need to stay at two separate properties so I can get a free night, yahoo! Instead of staying two nights at the Marriott Chicago O’hare. I’m going to stay one night there, and one night in downtown Chicago at the Fairfield Inn.
