Another round of CX fanfares released this morning at 8 am. I am quite disappointed at the quality of the destinations offered as they aren’t that good and tend to be the same places week after week.
Fares include: (*with tax + surcharge)
Xiamen HKD 590 | HKD 1,225*
Kunming HKD 690 | HKD 1,325*
Shanghai HKD 790 | HKD 1,425*
Hanoi HKD 890 | HKD 1,535*
Ningbo | HKD 890 | HKD 1,525*
Bangkok HKD 990 | HKD 1,695*
Seoul HKD 1,390 | HKD 2,109*
Yangon HKD 1,490 | HKD 2,088*
Nagoya HKD 1,790 | HKD 2,505*
Sydney HKD 1,990 | HKD 4,636*
Melbourne HKD 2,890 | HKD 5,406*
Xiamen, Kunming are always listed. Hanoi, Ningbo, and Nagoya are also often offered for sale.
I’m really disappointed that the long-haul destinations haven’t changed from Australia in awhile too. I’m getting less excited about these fanfares overall, maybe they’ll get better once summer is over and the passenger numbers die down.
Oddly enough, I think those destinations I mentioned are actually the best destinations on the fanfare sale this week. This is because the departure period is a few months out so you actually have time to plan a trip. Many of the other destinations are for departure today through next week, which is probably too soon for those who have a job. In coincidentally, those who have jobs can afford to fly.
I think CX needs to rethink they’re idea of what these fanfares are, maybe they should have a separate sale for immediate departure.
