We previously featured the Singapore airport transit voucher scheme, which gives you S$20 of vouchers to use in Singapore airport if you transit on certain carriers: Singapore Airlines, SilkAir and Air New Zealand, as well as Scoot flights TZ591 and TZ592.
It was due to expire at the end of March but the good news is that it has now been extended until 30th September 2017.

Traveling from Hong Kong, Singapore Airlines is often a good choice. In general I find their service to be excellent.
