If you want to use wifi on the way to or from the airport, the Airport Express has good news.
Taiwan Taoyuan TPE airport is far from Taipei, approx 45 km. Takes about 1 hr generally by bus. I’d allow up to 1.5 hours though, in case of traffic. Buses aren’t that frequent neither, usually 20-30 mins apart.
Unfortunately there’s no rail services so you’re stuck with taking a car or bus.
It is straightforward to travel between Chengdu airport and the city centre.
This is an easy and cost effective way to travel between the airport and the city centre. As you come out of the arrivals area at either terminal you will see the airport bus signposted.
If you are travelling between cities in Taiwan, long distance coaches can be a good mode of transport, and also good value. The green coaches of U Bus are a familiar sight every few minutes on busy Taiwanese highways, but there are in fact many other operators too.
Although Mui Wo is on the same island as the airport (Lantau), the transport connections can be a bit spotty.
There is an airport bus, the A35. However it has a limited and sporadic frequency. There is also a nighttime service N35.
