The space benefits from having a long expanse of windows looking out onto the tarmac, which provides both welcome natural light and good views for those who want to watch planes and tarmac activity.
The biggest selling point for this hotel is its location. The building may be an ugly modern block, but it is directly across from the airport. A complimentary airport shuttle operates every half hour or so. But at a push it’s actually walkable from the airport to the hotel – the traffic and perimeter fence make it a bit inconvenient,
As you may expect for two important finance hubs, Swiss (and indeed Cathay) link Hong Kong to Zurich with a daily flight. I recently travelled on this route in economy class.
At the Airport
Getting to Zurich airport from downtown Zurich was a cinch,
If you want to store left luggage at Ho Chi Minh airport there is a facility, but it is pretty costly.
On the arrivals level of the international terminal, as you exit the building, walk right towards the Burger King about fifty yards away. Next to that,
Cathay Pacific recently had discounted fares between HK and the U.S. West Coast. They’re now back with another offer which is slightly cheaper.
Cathay is currently advertising discount economy class fares to LA and San Francisco. Prices start at $2,200 (vs. $2,250 in last month’s offer) excluding taxes and fees – when I looked up some dates the total was $3,022.

Local airport bus operator Long Win is running a money saving promotion.
If you take one of their E buses to the airport and return the same day on an A bus you’ll save 20% of the cost.
It is a bit of an odd promotion,
Is it fair to hold carriers to different standards based on their country of origin? ANA and JAL are often not cheap when it comes to flying between Hong Kong and Japan and on that basis alone I have certain expectations. But I also do expect a high level of service on Japanese carriers internationally.
The Sound of Music is a seasonal favourite with many film lovers. The famous film was turned into a musical in the West End. The West End production is currently running In Macau.
It includes famous numbers such as “Do-Re-Mi”, “My Favourite Things”,
Per this thread in Flyertalk, Air Canada is offering returns between Hong Kong and San Francisco via Vancouver for as little as C$500 (HK$3,080). The same price also works to LA. There is good availability in January and February. The flights go through Vancouver. It seems that you cannot have a stopover (24 hours or more) there at this price,
