Turkish Airlines has a new “Wingo”sale starting this week through September 10th, 2012. Who or what is Wingo? I don’t know, but I’m guessing it’s that unattractive goose mascot in the ads.
- Travel dates November 12, 212 – March17, 2013.
- Last departure date from HKG February27, 2013.
There’s a huge variety of destinations on sale, primarily to the Western Asia, Europe, and Mid-east. You can get a complete list on the web site. While I have not flown TK economy class, I feel Turkish Airlines is a good option to flying to less popular destinations such as Sophia, Zagreb, or Naples where you’d have to connect flying any airline and prices can be very attractive on TK. When flying to large cities such as London, Paris, or Frankfurt you’ll have non-stop options and choices of larger carriers, which makes Turkish Airlines less attractive on those routes.
The cheapest fare I saw was $5,870 HKD to Billund (if you know where that is,) inclusive for roundtrip travel.
I recently flew Turkish Airlines in business class and will have a review up very shortly, including one ofthe Turkish Airlines lounge. If you have the Priority Pass card, you canget access to two lounges at IST airport in the international terminal, HSBC Club Lounge and, Primeclass CIP Lounge.
By the way, Billund is in Western Demark.
