Review: Cathay Pacific Lounge, Manila Airport

0

The Cathay lounge in Manila has been refurbished in the same style as others we have reviewed, such as those in Taipei and Bangkok.

The space benefits from having a long expanse of windows looking out onto the tarmac, which provides both welcome natural light and good views for those who want to watch planes and tarmac activity.

The lounge is beside other lounges in Terminal Three, up one storey shortly after security. It is located conveniently close to the gates.

The space is dominated by a large lounge area, with a variety of seating types.

Beyond that is the standard Cathay noodle bar, although here the windows and some dark wooden benches give it a bit more of a hipster coffee shop feel than is the case in other Cathay lounges. The noodle bar serves some local hot dishes as well as the other lounge standards. Overall the food selection in this lounge is okay rather than great.

There is a well-appointed and well stocked bar off to one side of the lounge.

This is a pleasant feeling lounge especially during daylight hours when the fact that it is light-filled gives it a relaxing air.
