CLD to LAX on United Airlines Flight Review

UA operates this very short flight between Carlsbad and Los Angeles utilizing a turboprop. I haven’t flown on a turboprop in many years so it was fun. Carlsbad Airport is tiny and I checked-in on my smartphone because I was going to be late to the airport. I arrived 30 minutes before my flight, ran to the machine to print out my boarding pass and went to the security line. Apparently my timing was good since they only opened the security line a few minutes before I arrived anyway.

Walked straight onto the runway and boarded the ramp up to the plane. Flight was great since I had a window seat and got a nice view of Southern California at a low altitude, for an airplane. Flight attendant was very friendly and United only provides water during this short hop.

Overall no complaint. As expected, with great weather in Southern California and a departing from a small airport, the flight arrived on time. I was connecting to the P.S. (premium service) flight from LAX to JFK so I spent my two hour layover at the Alaska Board Room in Terminal 6.
