Singapore Transit Vouchers: SIA, Silk, & Tiger
Tired of only waiting in the airport transit area? Want to do some shopping before your second flight? Here is a chance to get a free shopping voucher!
Book a connecting flight now on Singapore Airline or SilkAir that transits in Changi Airport before 31 March 2015. Then, you can get a S$40 (approximately $230 HKD) Changi Dollar Voucher, which will be distributed as two S$20 vouchers. One of them is for one-time redemption on food, retail or an access to the Ambassador Lounge, while the other one is for the redemption on tobacco, cosmetics, perfume or liquor purchase once only.
You can get the vouchers from iShopChangi Collection Centres, which are near the GST Refund counters in the transit areas of Terminals 2 and 3. Just bring your passport, boarding passes and e-tickets showing your full itinerary will do.
Besides, Tigerair, this Singapore based low-fare airline will also provide the transit voucher reward in the above period. However, it only includes one S$20 voucher (approximately $125 HKD) with 9 participating merchants in the Terminal 2 transit area.
Unlike Singapore Airlines, Tigerair will e-mail the voucher to you within 5 hours, after you have booked your flight. You only have to print it out and present it to the shop. It is more convenient than Singapore Airlines, as you do not have to find the redemption centre. It can save some time.
Remember to read the terms and conditions, also the list of participating shops before using the vouchers. Here are the websites:
Don’t hesitate to take the privilege if you need to transit through Singapore Changi Airport. A stopover will not stop your vacation anymore! You can now enjoy your shopping fun before arriving at your destination!
