Connecting at DFW and The Club at DFW Review

Club-at-DFW-2Layover and connecting at Dallas Fort-Worth International Airport isn’t the most exciting experience, but by U.S. standards is quite alright. Most likely you’ll be flying American Airlines since it is AA’s fortress hub. Flew from SLC to DFW to LGA, all equipment was on the aging MD-80.

Connecting at DFW is easy, you simply find out which terminal your connecting flight departs from, and there’s a skylink which brings you around the airport complex. Keep in mind this place is HUGE, as they say, everything is bigger in Texas. It’s a neat little train, even if you have some time to kill, you can just ride it around to see the airport. Much better than the terrible and cramped Skytrain at Newark Airport.

I decided to kill some time at the lounge. As a Priority Pass holder, I have access to The Club at DFW lounge. This lounge isn’t very good, very small and crowded. Not to mention they don’t offer any food, just packaged snacks, chips, and beverages. Next time I will visit the United Club lounge. While I was in the lounge I spotted the new American Airlines livery which was cool, I think that was the first and only plane with that livery at that time.

Lounge: THE CLUB AT DFW
