50% Bonus Buying Priority Club Points & Pointsbreaks

Priority Club has a 50% Bonus on purchased points when you buy at least 40,000 points. It’s also cheaper to buy a higher number of points. Unless you’re topping off your account for a redemption, I suggest you purchase at least 40,000 for the best value.

40,000 + 20,000 Bonus = 60,000 points will cost $460 USD.

While normally I wouldn’t suggest purchasing points for traditional redemptions, Priority Club offers Pointsbreaks for hotel rooms at 5,000 points per night!

With 60,0000 points, you can redeem 12 nights at Pointbreak properties.

For example, you can redeem 6 nights at the Holiday Inn Goa in India and 6 nights at the Crowne Plaza Bucharest for what is effectively $38.33 USD per night. You can’t even get a crappy motel room for this price.

The list changes about once every 3 months, and the current list is a bit limited because most of the rooms for 1Q2013 have been booked. Look around the end of March for the new list. Oftentimes Intercontinental properties will also be available, but you need to book early.

Buying Points is the easy way to top up your account to get the award you want!

You may purchase points in 1,000 increments:

  • 1,000 – 10,000 points for $13.50 per 1,000 points
  • 11,000 – 25,000 points for $12.50 per 1,000 points
  • 26,000 – 50,000 points for $11.50 per 1,000 points

Great deal! Any link for this promotion?
Can I buy the points by new register account?

Thanks your reply. I registered the ihg account and bought the points.

    • Great. Glad it works for you. Let us know which property you end up at. The new Pointbreaks list should be out right before the end of March for the next Quarter, so you can also use your points for those properties. Make sure you book early before the rooms are gone, but the reservations are usually cancellable.
