Asia Miles Service Centre in the Philippines

I’ve known that Asia Miles opened a call center in Manila earlier this year, but Asia Miles finally e-mailed us members with a formal announcement below.

In the past when you asked for an English speaking representative you’d wait upwards of an hour or more at times, which was really appalling. Since the opening of the new service center, I haven’t had to wait at all for English, someone picks up immediately. If I select Cantonese, there is oftentimes still a wait, so I suggest my readers to select English if you can’t get through in your selected language.

The quality and training of the staff in the new service center is hit or miss however. Sometimes I get an agent who knows exactly what to do and what the Asia Miles routing and redemption rules are, sometimes they have no clue and are robotic. If I realize I have an incapable agent I suggest politely hanging up and calling again to try and get a better one.

For example, in one case I wanted to change an itinerary where the agent said there was a change fee. Then I called back later and the second agent didn’t charge one. I suggest getting familiar with all of the rules/charges yourself before calling so you don’t get swindled.

We are pleased to announce the opening of Asia Miles Service Centre in the Philippines – part of an ongoing effort to make it easier for you to get in touch with us.

As you may know, our Philippines Service Centre (PSC) opened in May 2012, with a goal of reducing pick-up response and hold times across the Asia Miles Service Centre network and better assisting our English-speaking members. Results over the past six months have been pleasing, with Asia Miles members having to wait far less time for their calls to be answered.

The PSC has 110 frontline staff providing 24-hour service, seven days a week, complementing our existing operations in Hong Kong and Beijing.

Residents and visitors in the Philippines can contact the PSC via the following toll-free numbers:

Good day. I had a previous account (and it has been inactive for the longest time) but I can no longer remember the old email account nor password that I used before. I have been trying for some time to contact asia miles and premier miles but I cannot get through . How can I activate my account ? I would like to avail of my asia miles for a forth coming travel. Thank you for your help.

    • Your Asia Miles are gone if it’s been over three years since you’ve accrued the miles. You may just want to sign up for a new membership if that’s easier than activating your old one. Otherwise try calling them.
