Fairfield Inn Placentia Fullerton Review
Stayed one night at the Fairfield Inn Placentia. It’s right off the 57 freeway in Orange County, CA near the Fullerton border. This property is part of the Marriott brand and a very affordable property.
I reserved a king room and got a small one on the ground floor facing the parking lot. There is a train that runs behind the hotel and I did hear it despite facing the front of the hotel. But the horns only sounded during the day, I didn’t hear anything overnight, or maybe I was sleeping very deeply.
The room is decently appointed with LCD TV, iron and ironing board, soaps and shampoos. They even included a microwave and minifridge which was nice. Nothing too much to complain about except the alarm clock looks pretty old, and the furniture wasn’t brand new, but it wasn’t worn neither. By the way, Wi-Fi was free as well.
I paid a very cheap rate since I took advantage of Marriott’s Best Rate Guarantee. Basically I found a rate cheaper than on Marriott’s own web site, so they allowed me to stay for 25% less than the rate found.
There is a breakfast on weekdays from 6-9 am and it was decent for free. Some cereals, oatmeals, muffins, bagels, and a waffle maker which I didn’t try out. The breakfast area is a bit cramped and small though, so I recommend going during an off-peak time.
Overall I can recommend this property if you get a good rate. The area isn’t too nice but if you’re driving should be ok. The train could be bothersome and the doors of the rooms face externally, just a note if that’s any issue for you.
